Knox Shopping Centre is located in the outer eastern region of metropolitan Melbourne in the suburb of Wantirna South. The centre is located on Burwood Highway, which is one of the major east-west arterial roads serving the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Knox Shopping Centre underwent a $150 million re-development which was completed in late 2002. There are over 350 specialty retailers at Knox Shopping Centre and major stores include Myer, Target, Coles, Kmart, Harvey Norman, Toys R Us, Harris Scarfe and a Village 15-screen state of the art cinema complex. Knox Shopping Centre is made up of two main shopping precincts being, Knox City and Knox Ozone.

Knox City is a two level fully enclosed shopping centre which first opened in 1977 and is a traditional shopping centre. Knox O-Zone is an outdoor leisure, dining and entertainment precinct of the centre, which boasts the largest cinema screen in Australia. Knox O-Zone is home to over 24 cafes, bars and restaurants as well as a selection of retailer stores including sports, music, large format furniture and whitegoods stores. Knox O-Zone also encompasses an AMF Bowling Centre, Timezone Centre and Fitness First gym.
